VT Lowell Lake State Park

Conveniently located just 5 minutes down the road from Green Mountain Magic, Lowell Lake’s 207 acres are your top spot for a relaxing walk, canoe/kayak trip, or just a serene water walk to reconnect your inner self with Mother Nature. The loop around the lake is an easy and flat, 3.5 miles round trip, taking you by former scouting cabins (now abandoned), making it a bit of a living time capsule of local history.

Activities

• Hiking: The 3.5 miles Lowell Lake Trail circles the lake.
• Boating: Internal combustion engines are not allowed on Lowell Lake. There is a 5 mph speed limit. There is a car-top boat launch, though there are no boats available to rent.
• Fishing: Perch, pickerel, large-mouth bass, bullhead and panfish swim in the waters at Lowell Lake.
• Picnicking: There are great picnicking spots around the lake.

Directions:

• From Route 11
• Turn onto Lowell Lake Road.
• In 1/2 mile, turn right at T-intersection.
• Park entrance is just up the hill.
